What types of processes are considered an Affected Source?

An organic chemical process classified under the 1987 version of SIC code 282, 283, 284, 285, 286, 287, 289, or 386 or classified using the 1997 version of NAICS code 325. The final rule does list several exceptions.

Initial Notifications 03/09/04
Precompliance Report 05/06/06
Compliance Extension Request, if allowed 12 to18 months prior to Compliance Date
Compliance Date 11/10/06
Performance Test Notification At least 60 days before scheduled test
Notification of Compliance Status Report (NOCSR) 4/07/07
Compliance Report 08/31/07 and every 6 months thereafter

Compliance Timeline: New Sources

Compliance Report First August 31 or February 28 following the end of the compliance period that occurs more than 6 months after the compliance date. Then every 6 months.
